HI everyone!

I'm new to this board. I'm planning my first Disney World vacation. I'm a Disneyland girl, so all of this advance planning is a little overwhelming.

I'm planning on getting the Deluxe dinning plan. We want to plan on 2 meals a day. One meal using 1 TS ticket and the other using 2 TS tickets.

I have found out that some of the finer dining restaurants have dress codes. I'm now wondering how am I ever going to find the time to do all of my meals if I have to go back to the hotel every night to change?

We will be staying for 7 days and 6 nights. I'm hoping to stay at the Polly but might end up at CB. We are getting the hopper tickets - but hope to do a park a day - choosing parks by the extra magic hours. We will not have a car, so it will be Disney transportation. There are three of us, 2 adults and a 9 year old.

How hard is it to make and keep up with all the dining plans?

Thanks,
Rachel

Not hard at all.. I have a little table with 4 columns and the same number of rows as days. THe columns are for Date, Morning, Afternoon and Evening. Under those columns, I list the location, times and confirmation number of each ADR. I use this table while I am planning my ADRs and when I am at WDW.

Don't worry about the dress code, it's a joke, it's just no swimsuits or torn clothing, which I would never wear to a restaurant anyway.

First thing I do is make a list of all the restaurants I'd like to try and eat at, and then figure out where I'll be each day based on the park hours, and fill in the restaurants were they fit, like Kona and Ohana on my Magic Kingdom days.

From reading the description it's not much of a dress code. Men can wear khaki shorts and a polo and women can wear dress shorts and t-shirts.

We are doing the DDDP too. We are trying 3 of the signature restaurants that have dress codes. We are staying 9 days and 8 nights. We ended up eating 2 TS meals a day.

Have fun planning!

Thanks for the help.

I went in today and met with my AAA agent. She said she would help me with my dining plans.

Is the Poly a good hotel to stay at with kids?

I like the Poly. I've never stayed there, but I've been there several times just to see it and for meals and stuff, and it's a lovely resort that I'd love to stay at some day.
