How to make a vacation calendar?

Ok, I'm really challenged in these things.

Can anyone explain, simply, how I can make a printable calendar with blocks so I can organize our days on paper? We are going June into July and would like it all on one sheet instead of printing a June and a July calendar.

I have always used Excel and made borders around the size boxes I wanted... you can also find many variations of blank calendars through a Google search
