How to make a few hundred $$$ in a couple weeks

Anyone have any good suggestions on how someone could make a $200.00 extra in about two to three weeks. Not a good time for a yard sale due to the weather. I would love to hear how most would do it......

It probably won't add up to $200, but you could get some of it by saving EVERY PENNY of your change. I started doing this after we got back from our trip on 1/17 and I already have over $50.00!!!! When I get change back from anywhere (not bills, loose change), I put it in a jar. If someone asks "don't you have the change?" I say no and get whatever change there may be. I know $50 is a far cry from $200, but it's something!

You could try substitute teaching. How much you make a day depends on the school district and how much education you have. The bad thing is that you might not get paid until the next time pay day for the teachers rolls around. Here school districts pay once a month.

For a short time situation I think I would probably just cut out expenses. I'd challenge myself to use every bit of food in the house and not do any grocery shopping (okay maybe I'd buy a little milk and fruit). I could probably do a bit more creative cooking and make meals for two weeks with what I have on hand - it might be very creative! I'd try not to drive much so I didn't have to get gas. I'd eliminate any cash going out on things like coffee or lunch out.

I agree with disykat--probably the most effective way is going to be to cut back severely on expenses. Little things add up to way more than we suspect! I'd also second the vote on selling some stuff on ebay, but you'd have to get on that really fast.

Another option might be to see if there is a plasma center in your area. We have one here that buys your plasma. Can't remember what they pay, I want to say about $30 per donation? Of course, they limit the amount you can donate, so you probably won't get your total $200 that way.

Depending how dire it is, you could also try selling bigger stuff through the classifieds. Extra furniture, tools, etc.

LOL....... OH my gosh what I have I done. I am so sorry. I am by no means in a financial deliema. My dh is very well off. (ok so I am blessed) I am now a stay at home house wife, with dd away in college. I am so sorry. You see my dd was home for the weekend, and my girlfriend was over with her dd, who hopefully will be off to college next year. My girlfriend is divorced, she can not work due to health problems. We got to talking about how she could pick up few extra dollars here and there. She has cut out alot already. she is doing ebay and she loves it. I feel so bad for her. My dh and I help her out alot. We have been friends for years. Our girls grew up together. So I thought hey let me find out others would get some extra cash.....
