I was tinkering around with my reservations today and was able to lower my 2 week rental down to $256 for a full size during June.

I went to the Specials to go button and clicked on the $199 per week for intermediate car and then hit the reserve button at the bottom of the page. After logging on with my EC code I inserted the rental dates and DC code and EC code in the Contract and Coupon boxes. I noticed the NHOL code in the Product rate code box. Then I hit the View rate quote button. The rate came up at $199 per week for a total off $480.40 for the totoal 2 week rental. The odd thing was that the discount for the EG coupon shows $28.43. Normally it comes up at $14.87.

Next I hit the back button on the page( not your browser bar)and deleted the NHOL code and left the DC and EC codes like they were. I also changed the car to a Full Size and then hit the View Rate Quote Button.

The rate comes up at $130 base per week with a $52.40 DC discount and a $28.43 EC discount for total of $256.91 for 2 weeks.

I aslo tried changing the coupon code and all 3 I tried come up at the $28.43 Discount. I tried the DC, EC, and Disney connection that is linked to on this site.

I posted this below.

I was able to get the coupon discount to stay high also. I checked rates using the default contract code (not sure what this is) and adding the internet coupon. The base rate was the same, but no DC discount was applied. Coupon was $20. Then I hit back and changed contract code to the DC one. Checked rate again & the coupon had stayed at the higher rate.

This seems to be a glitch in the national internet site. I'm not sure I feel comfortable using it, but since it was only a difference of $5 for me, I'm not going to worry about it! :D

would suggest you verify this "rate" you got with the internet help line....1-888-501-9010

just to make sure what you have is what they have...

have had great discounts come up with the entertainment coupon .....only to be told when i call that what their computer shows is different....

you might be able to fax them your pinrt out...but no guarantee that the free day coupon, if that is what you are using would be "so high".....it is usually based upon 1/7 of the weekly rate...thus the lower the base rate the lower the free day "discount".....at the 130$ base rate that was quoted in this thread that would be about 17$ discount...there comes a point where the 15$ off coupon from entertainment is a better deal....

looking at jeffrey's quote it seems that his discount for DC is 20% off the two week base rate ......and the EC discount is a 2 week thingy too.....( 2 x 14$ approximately)....do not know if they would let you use two EC coupons on a two week rental

me thinks sometimes the "cache" does not clear out and that is why the "higher" discount rates.....

just be sure to check with the internet help line to "verify" your rates so there are no surprises when u get to the check out booth...
