How to know if you're getting a good deal?

DH discovered last night that we could use our AA airmiles on trips and so he decided to look at Disney since I've been pestering him about it. We could get flights, disney transfer from airport, 5 or 7 nights (not sure why they're the same cost but they are!) accommodation at All Star Sports (I'm hoping Movies would also be an option, I think DS would prefer it) and our park passes (not hopper pass but I think that is ok, I doubt we'd do more than one park per day w/ two little kids) for only $700 on top of our airmiles.

Basically the only thing we'd be paying for is extras and food. I know the food can be expensive but this still seems like it is a good deal to me. I figured I'd ask here, though, since you all seem to be the experts. I also posted this in the Welcome board but then realized it probably should be down here, so this is sort of an XP.
Thanks!

How many miles? $700 for a week's stay at Disney including airfare is a really good deal, but not if it costs you 250,000 miles for it!

The rule of thumb is an airmile is worth 2 cents. Figure out the cost of what you are getting with yous airmiles at retail and determine if you are getting a deal. You say you have 110,000 miles which equates to $2,200.

Go to AA.com and price out your tix and then go to WDW and see what your package is worth.

If you are able to get 4 tickets at the sAAver pass award level (aka 25,000 per ticket for domestic US lower 48 states) on the same flight on the same date then you must have a lucky horshoe up your bum. Finding 4 free award tix on the same flight is near impossible. Your DH probably just viewed what is POSSIBLE, not what is actualy available.

that is a good point. he was looking way out in November, I don't know if he actually looked to see if there were 4 tickets available. I'll ask him to check on that tonight. Thanks!
