Hi everyone - any advice from others who have gone with babies in August on how to minimize the chances of my DD getting heat stroke? She's just starting to use a sippy cup for juice and water - I'm assuming 2 months from now she'll do better with it. Any advice???

Sunscreen, breaks in the shade..and keep an eye on her fluids.Make sure she is drinking as much as possible.

Will she still drink from a bottle? You could get fluids into her that way if you are concerned that she won't drink enough from the cup. You can keep her cool in the stroller (I am assuming that you will be using one)with a clip on stoller fan. I got one at BRU and it is battery operated and has a big clip to put it anywhere on the stroller. Make sure she has plenty of shade and maybe a trip back to the resort for her mid day nap in the air condioning. Have fun with her!
