How to identify yourself to other Diz users?

Hi,
I was just wondering how someone should identiy themselves on VMK to other Diz boards users when you are not suppose to say diz. I have been on more latley and have found several people from here but I don't know how to go up to them and say I am Diz?

I just have - dis - in my characters signature.
I believe the abbreviation dis is allowed, just don't tell people, "I'm on the dis boards" or "find me on the dis boards" or "I post on the dis" things like that.

I've had "The Dis" in my signature for a long time. I haven't changed it and no one (staff) has ever said anything to me about it.
I also have it in the description for several of my rooms.

Also in case anyone new is reading this the DIS board color is Lime green the same as this smilie

not sure if you can say lime or not but you could reference that.

From what I gather, having DIS in your signature or rooms is okay. Just don't DISCUSS Dis or other forums when you are in VMK such as "I post on DIS too. Who are you on the DIS Board. Let's PM each other over there so we can really talk."

I have Dis in the suignature but I guess the best way is to be a part of the boards and join in on the discussions because even if I see Dis but I don't know that person from the boards it does not mean a lot to me. Anyone can type three letters into their signature.

I removed Dis from my signature because I was getting too many questions about it. My standard answer was, "We aren't allowed to talk about fan sites in the game." but I really felt uncomfortable with keeping Dis in my signature.

I did know that green is the DIS board color but not that it is lime green. The green inspired my strange signature, "I like green cake." which is used by all of my characters now. If you see that in a signature, it's probably me.

yes it is lime green dates way back to when the DIS was brand new and we all started talking that we needed our own color....and lime green won.

I just checked and you still can not say LIME in VMK.


go figure as to why.

I think it's reasonably safe as long as you don't say
'We should go to AK sometime'
'Yeah, PM your address, phone number and password to me and we can meet in dark alleyway first'

Yeah, when Hula said that, I asked if that was a bad thing. She said Lol no. I still think that she may be suspicious. I'm not taking Dis out of my signature. If I get a message from staff saying to remove it, I will just put Disney, lol.

Some people say DIS Diz. I always say each letter individually (dee i ess) but it's all a matter of taste.

Z and S are also quite close on the keyboard.

DIS has always been "DIS" never DIZ what is the "DIZ"???? sorry never heard of that one?
