How to have a magical princess experience?

I grew up in Florida and went to WDW all the time. We moved when I was a teenager and we haven't been back since. We have been to Disneyland and loved it, but I am really wanting to go back to WDW.
I have 3 little girls who are really into the princess/character thing.
Do you have any tips for activities, character dining, or anything else that would just be magical for my girls? Everything has changed so much since I've been there!
I'm sure there are tons of little known things to do -- how do I find out about them?

One of the best kept Princess secrets. Go to toontown at MK during the night time fireworks and you have them to yourself!! We went this past Dec and we decided to go to Toon town for the fireworks (that is actually where they are set off to appear over the castle) anyway if you go into big top you can catch them all to yourself. They danced with my daughters and got pictures and ooohhh it was so magical!! They had permanent smiles fixed on their faces.

Breakfast at Cindy's Castle is a very popular read on the dining thread on how to get this. Park Fare is with Cinderella and Prince Charming at Grand Floridian. go to www.allearsnet.com and read the menues.

Alice in Wonderland is a princess in our book and she is always over by the tea cups to play a game and teach you how to curtsy to the Queen. Can't miss the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM all time favorite of mine.

Ciderella's Royal table at MK is a must...the breakfast has all the princesses. And it's the hardest ticket in town to get. You must call as soon as they allow reservations (180 days in advance)

We are also doing Princess Storybook in Norway (breakfast)

Have your kids bring their princess costumes if they have any. I always put sneakers on their feet though and not the princess shoes, too much walking for those.

And don't forget the Princess Autograph Book! And bring your digital camera. I took a picture of every meeting. Then had the princess sign a page. When we got home, I inserted each princess with my kids next to their signature. Very cool!

I think that the "My Disney girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party" sounds so cute! That is something I would have loved to take my DD to, but she wouldn't be into it now (9) . Its pretty expensive but Im sure little girls would love it!

Just back yesterday with our 4 year old princess who spent the week swooning over Disney's princesses. Here are my tips:

Princess Storybook Breakfast- Lots of princesses (any Mary Poppins) with a reasonable meal that counted as only 1 TS on the dining plan.

Cinderella's Royal Table- This is a hard reservation to get and I was pretty disgruntled by the cost when we made the reservation. However, it did turn out to be the most "magical" of all of our experiences. My DD4 wore her Cinderella dress. They gave her a magic wand and a wishing star. There was a bit of a wait (Cinderella was doing Cinderellabration when we arrived), but the look on my daughter's face was worth it and the setting was very cool! The food was pretty good too!


Epcot- We found Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Bell, and Snow White greeting folks in the World Showcase at Epcot. The lines were very short in teh mid-afternoon and most of the princesses stood in gardens or by the water in spots that were great background for pictures. My DD was able to spend a lot time talking to each princess...They weren't as rushed as they were at breakfast.

I second the Princess autograph books (available at shops all over the World).

Let them wear their princess outfits. My DD wore one to each breakfast and wouldn't take them off. I did bring inexpensive Wal-mart versions which worked out well as she did put her foot through the netting on one dress when she was climbing in the Boneyard at Animal Kingdom. I might have been bothered more if we had paid 60. (the going rate for princess dresses at WDW shops). Anyway, CM's bowed to her, gave her an extra merry-go-round ride, etc.

Both Magic Kingdom parades feature princesses. We happened to be sitting on the curb near the beginning of Main Street and she was really able to get a good view and call out to the princesses. Snow White blew her a kiss and, because we were so close, many of the princesses singled her out for a wave or a handshake.

The whole trip was about princesses for us...and my daughter really had a great time...and we had a great time watching her!

Wow, thanks for all the great tips. I read the thread about getting a reservation to CInderella's royal table -- it sounds like it can be next to impossible! I hope we can get a reservation, as I love the princess thing just as much as my girls do! Any other great tips for getting a reservation??? Is it just as hard to get a lunch ressie as breakfast?
