If I was staying at CBR, what would be the best way to get to Universal, without renting a car?

We've used Mears three times since Oct and recommend them. They're $18.00 round trip. Sometimes we've stopped at another resort and sometimes we've gone directly to Universal. We'll be using them again in Sept and Nov. Their number is: 407-423-5566. If you buy the vouchers at MCO you can use a credit card, but if you wait to pay the driver at pick up you will need exact change. Either way you would need to call the day before you want to go to choose a pick up time. We've never had a problem getting there before opening. The vouchers you get at the airport do not have a specific date on them, so you can use them any day you choose. Gratuity is not included in the $18.00 r/t fee of course.

We just returned from our vacation to disneyworld. We went to universal for a day. We purchased a package deal (link below). The transportation is free through Mears when you purchase this package. It could not have been easier. We called the number on the printout 24 hours in advance of when we wanted to go to universal. They pick you up right at your hotel. When you get to universal go to the kiosks and print your park tickets. To our surprise they allow you to get into the parks 1 hour before the general public. It was great. We did Harry Potter in less then an hour. When you are ready to leave you just call the same number again (2 hours in advance of when you want to be picked up).

This intrigues me. We are staying at Disney but want to spend a day at Universal. Were you really able to get into the park early? That makes the price worth it. My dd and I are going and our main focus will be Harry Potter. But... we if got in early we could do that first and then enjoy other areas of the park.

We did get into the park early, with the hotel guests. We were so surprised but there is a code on the back of the tickets and when we showed it to one of the workers she said to go right in. We had the mears transportation pick us up at 7:20 and we were in the park at 8am. It was great.

I had never used them before either, and I was a little nervous. I did everything on line and had no problems at all. I will be using them again on our next vacation. It could not have gone any smoother.
