Does anyone know what time the boat between the Contemporary and the Wilderness Lodge stops running.

If I have 7pm reservations at Ohana, what would be the easiest way to get there from WLV? Also the easiest way to get back. MK closes at 8pm on that day.

53 days to go till... :earsboy:

Assuming you don't have a car, I would recommend taking the boat to Contemperary and hopping on the resort monorail to the Polyonesian. As I remember though, the walk between VWL and Poly is only about 1/2 mi, so you could also walk.

Unless I'm misreading here, I don't think there is any way to walk between the VWL and the Polynesian. You can walk to the Polynesian from TTC and to the GF but that's it. I think you would be best served to take the boat from WL to MK and then the boat to the Polynesian. The boat to the Polynesian is over on the left, just below the monorail station....smaller boat than the one to WL. Or take the boat to CR and grab the monorail to the Polynesian.
For your return trip you could either take the monorail to the Contemporary and take the boat from there to WL or take the monorail to MK and take the boat to WL from there. I believe the transportation continues for at least an hour after the park closes. Otherwise you could just grab a cab back to VWL....not very expensive from the Polynesian.

Actually, you can walk to the TTC, and Poly from WL and VWL. It's a long walk, but not so difficult. You will have to cross a fairly busy road that goes between the TTC and WL, but really the TTC is across the road from WL. I would probably agree that it would be at least 1/2 mile, with all the woods, etc. you'd have to go through, then having to traverse the length of the TTC.

I would, however, second the notion of taking boats to the Poly. It's so much more pleasant than walking, IMHO. Walking could be slightly faster, depending on how long the waits for the boats are, but not that much.

I've been advocating for a long time that WL needs to purchase little golf carts like they have at the Poly, cut a small trail between WL and the TTC and have sort of a quick shuttle between WL and the TTC. That would really tie WL together more with the other monorail resorts.

Thanks to everyone....

I will probably take the boat from WL to Contemporary and then monorail to Poly.

The problem is getting back from Poly to WL. I have 7:20 pm reservations. So if we take an hour for dinner, we will finish around 8:30pm and by then MK will be closed. Will there still be boats that go from Poly to MK after MK has closed?

If I take the monorail back to the Contemporary, will the boat between WL and Contemporary still be running? I really don't want to have to go to MK because I know the lines to the WL boats will be long.

I was thinking of taking a cab but I will have my 1yr DS with me. Can he ride the cab without a car seat?

I believe Disney transportation runs for 1 hour after the parks close.

While it is physically possible to walk from WL to TTC, Disney has long advised against it. It is a long walk and somewhat dangerous...no sidewalks. As far as making the WL more convenient to the monorail resorts...this is the reason you don't pay as much for WL as you do the other MK resorts. As soon as they 'tie into' the monorail, your rates will go up. Same thing with AKL. Except WL has the option of using a boat if you want...AKL has only buses. But they are both mid-way between deluxe and moderate resort rates because of their transportation situation.

The boat between the CR and WL stops at 11pm along with the resort monorail.

If for whatever reason, your meal is delayed and you get out real late, you can walk over to the TTC and catch the WL bus from there. It runs from 1 hour after MK closes to 2AM.

Until a few months ago the WL had a bus to TTC that ran until I believe 2:00 am. I used the TTC bus often, but others didn't and it was discontinued.

As of June 20th it was still in operation...

Since Epcot is open until 9, I wonder if you could take the monorail to Epcot and then from Epcot catch a bus to WL? I think the buses run an hour or so after the park closes.

This is way out of the way for you!
