My friend is going to the Hoop Dee Doo review in 3 weeks. The early show. How does she get from the Poly to Fort Wilderness and back?

Thanks for any help.

Anna

I forgot to mention that they do not have a rental car.

Thanks

We took the monorail to the CR and then the boat from the CR to Ft. Wilderness. You can also take the monorail to MK and then hop a boat to FT. Wilderness.

You can also walk to the TTC and catch a bus to FW. Probably the fastest if not most scenic.

Do the boat..Do the boat..Do the boat, boat, boat!!! This is really fun and you'll see things you may have never seen crossing the lagoon/lake. I think that the Hoop de Doo is near the marina area as well. Although its been a while since we stayed at Fort Wilderness I remember the bus rides as being really difficult....but, like I said, it's been awhile. Take the monorail to CR or MK and boat across...you won't regret it!

Can't you just take the boat straight from the Poly to FW? Don't the boats make a lagoon loop?

Nope, the boats have more like 1/2 loop routes....the boat from the poly goes to the MK and Grand Floridian. The boat from the CR goes to FW and WL. Of course, boats go to all of the big MK resorts from the MK.

Seems like they would make a big loop but maybe it uses more gas and it would definately take more time...especially if you got on the first stop and had to stop at every resort.

Years ago there was a boat that went directly to FW from the Polynesian but no longer. This was perhaps even before GF was built...a long time ago now and WDW was much smaller in scope and simpler.

There is a bus from the TTC that takes you directly to the bus stop by Hoop de Doo...you won't have to do all the interior loops that Penny is referring to.

The last time we went to HdD was NYE and we took the monorail to MK, then the boat to FW. As Penny said the boat is fun. We then hopped a bus back to the TTC.

Take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and the boat to Fort Wilderness. It's easy and it's a very nice ride. After the show ends, if it's too late for the boat ride back, take the bus to the TTC and walk, or monorail, to the Poly. :)

The TTC is the Ticket and Tranportation Center. It's located right next to the Polynesian Resort and across the lake from the Magic Kingdom. :)
