How to get to disney?

I would like to rake the kids to breakfast at 8:00 at Animal Kingdom. We will be staying at windsor Hills in a villa. My husband and in laws do not want to get up that early. How do I go about getting to Animal Kingdom if I want to leave car for rest of family (they will be meeting us later). Are there buses or shuttles around or bettr off calling a taxi?

Windsor Hills offers a shuttle service, but it's not cheap. We stayed there in October and I remember thinking it would probably be cheaper to call a taxi. If you take the back way to Animal Kingdom it only takes about 10 minutes from Windsor Hills, can't someone in the family at least just run you over and drop you off and come back later?

Some places offer free shuttle...or just take a taxi. Have a great time.

I don't suggest you try to get an 8am for Donald's since you are not staying onsite. Many of us have had problems trying to get into the AK parking lot early. Unless things have changed they only allow Disney buses into the AK lot early. A few years ago (before we know Disney had early breakfast buses) we took a taxi from the Yacht Club to the AK for an early Donald's breakfast. The driver told me right away he could not get in a day or two before and had to let his passengers off to take a Disney bus.
We stayed in line at the gate as the driver tried to get the Cast Member to let us through. Finally the CM gave in and opened the lot. I have read many stories on the Transportation board about trying to get into the AK lot early. For whatever reason Disney does not open this lot early.
Maybe things have changed, I have not read updates lately. I would hate for you to try for an 8am and not be allowed in until it's too late for your reservation.
