I am staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. What is the BEST way to get to Cape May Cafe...for B'fast. 9:05 a.m dining time

Either spring for a cab or catch the bus to AK (or whatever theme park bus comes first really) ... then take a bus to Y&BC from the park.

Actually, while this is what a hotel CM told me, we got stuck at MK one morning a couple of years ago. Granted, it was a bit earlier in the morning, but the driver who eventually stopped and took pity on us said that to get to the Beach Club, we should have taken the bus to DHS and either walked or ferryed over.

1) Take the DHS or AK bus and switch to the Beach Club bus.
2) Take a cab.

I don't think you can take a bus from AKL to Epcot then a bus from Epcot to Y&BC. If you go to Epcot you will have to cut through Epcot to the International Gateway and walk or take the boat to Y&BC. If you don't have a parkhopper, then it will be an admission unless you go back to Epcot later that day.

If it is running, I'd take the bus from AKL to DHS and walk (15 minute walk) to Y&BC. Ask a CM to point out the path to get there.

Good point about Epcot. Didn't dawn on me!!

We will actually have to go from WL to Cape May one morning. I'm just ferrying over to MK then bussing to BC.

In the morning, the BEST way is definitely taking a cab. Second-best way is taking a bus to DHS and walking over, which takes about 20 minutes from the time you reach DHS.

Third-best (because it is slow, and only really would work for that timing on an EMH morning at DHS) would be to take the bus to DHS and then the Friendship boat back to the S/D dock. However, the lake and the BW area is really pretty early in the morning, so it is a really pleasant ride, especially since you would just about have the boat to yourself then.

Not a good idea. If you are trying to get TO a resort in the morning from a park on buses it will take a very long time to get there as you are going upstream. Buses are in a mode to get folks TO parks not to resorts in the morning.

The best way to get to early breakfasts at the Epcot resorts is to take the bus to DHS, (they start at 7am), then walk or boat to the respective resort.

By the same token, if you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts and want to go to one of the MK resorts for breakfast it is faster to take a bus to MK, then monorail to one of the MK resorts. Do not go to Studios, then try to get a bus to the MK resort.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is a bit different. There are many folks going to Boma for breakfast from other resorts, so they have regular bus service to AKL from AK early in the morning. So don't go to MK, Epcot, or Studios early in the morning thinking you can get a quick bus to AKL.

Monorail service and boat service HAS to go in a circle. Bus service does not, so that is why we recommend transferring at DHS for the Epcot resorts, and transferring at MK for the MK resorts.

The logical transfer for AKL is Animal Kingdom.

To get to any of the moderates, OKW, or Saratoga Springs for breakfast, your best bet is a taxi as there is no "easy" early transportation to those resorts.

Hope this makes sense.

Consider your 2 oprions time wise.

1. Leave your hotel about 7:30- 7:45 and have it take at least an hour to figure any of the other transportation methods. I say at least, that is hitting your connections in a timely manner. I'd say closer to 1.5 hrs. and the waiting and nervousness if traveling with kids.

2. Leave your hotel at 8:40 via cab and make it with about 5-10 mins to spare.

Good luck

Take the bus to DHS at about 8:00 (no later than 8:15). When you get to DHS, you can take the boat (20 min ride) to YC/BC, but there could be an addtl wait time if there is no boat there yet, or is just pulling away. If the boat isn't there, or coming in, just walk. The walk takes about 15-20 mins, depending on walking pace. Walk down towards the canal, parking lot on your right, canal on the left. You will see signage to BW. Follow the sidewalk. When you get to BW, you can either go to the left and towards S/D and get to YC/BC that way, or to the right and towards YC/BC that way. I think it's a week bit shorter to go to the left and up and over the bridges.
