How to get the room you want?

Laugh if you must, but I SNAIL MAIL my requests and get them met every time!

My theory is my snail mail really STANDS out and the Room Assignor is so "impresed" I took the time to snail mail that they bend over backwards to fill my requests.:)
I like... I will try it! It's worth a try :)

Does it give you an address to mail it to?
Address the envelope:

"Disney's All-Star Music Resort
1801 West Buena Vista Drive
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000

ATTN.-Room Assignor"

Mail it around 10 days before your arrival date.

Be sure to put your Reservation # in your request.

Say something like:

"Hi!-We can't wait to stay at your awesome and MUSICAL Resort!
We would like to make the following Room Requests:

Calypso
Pool View

We would greatly appreciate any consideration you can afford these requests!
We're looking forward to htting many HIGH NOTES at All-Star Music!

Thanks and HAVE A MAGICAL(AND MUSICAL) DAY!"

I don't think the inventory manager work at the resort. Most likely front desk opens you letter an puts the note in the system. Sometimes managers are able to try to move but 80% of the time you will notice they pick up the phone and call because inventory manager is not onsite.

Having done this In the past...it's damn near impossible to meet room requests...I can only imagine how hard it is after the online checkin took put the physical arrival times in flux.

There's just too many rooms and variables to adjust for...especially with such large family travel with varying concerns, expectations, and issues on a minute by minute basis.

Attitude makes all the difference when it comes to room requests. Not getting what you hoped for can set the wrong tone for a trip. I've personally experienced this when I didn't get a parking lot view I was hoping to get for our second trip to POR. You would think that a beautiful pool view would be a good thing but it really was just that tiniest seed of dissatisfaction that all other minor things that went wrong added onto and by the end it just didn't end up being a good trip. I've learned my lesson. Any request I make in the future won't make or break my trip and if I can't handle a certain area of a resort, I won't book there.

It's can't hurt but in reality it makes no difference at all. Just so you are prepared, requests are nothing more than requests, no matter how they arrive.
