What is the better way to get a good price on a villa, if I am not using my points?

• Getting an AP or FL resident discount through CRO, or
• Calling DVC and making a cash ressie?

Call both CRO & MS and then book the least expensive option. Sometimes that will be the AP or FL resident discount and sometimes that will be the 25% off rack rate members can get through MS.

There is no way that is better all the time, and all discounts are subject to availability.

Thank you! I was just wondering if one way was always cheaper than the other.

FYI, I was able to get a cheaper rate today using the AP discount through CRO, than by calling DVC.

I haven't checked in awhile but in the past I've found AP rates are usually cheaper for studios than the 25% DVC discount. 1 bedrooms are about even.
