My son and I will be arriving at POP around 6:30 PM Sept. 28 and have room only for the first night since we will be arriving so late in the day. But, we thought we would spend some time at the Boardwalk since it is free. How would you suggest we get there using WDW transportation? Is there a bus that goes directly there? Or will be have to go somewhere and transfer to another bus?
Thanks for your help.

There is not a direct bus. I would take a bus to MGM and then either walk to Boardwalk (about 10-15 minutes) or take the boat. MGM closes at 8:00pm. You could probably catch a bus back until about 9:00pm. After that, you would have to get a bus to Downtown Disney and then transfer to Pop Century. Or you could take a cab.

How old is your son? If he's young, there's really not alot to do on the Boardwalk for kids, you probably could catch a bus back by 9:00pm.

DebbieB,Thanks for the info. My son is 28, so he will probably be going strong way after I will...ha! :wave2:
So we could catch a bus at the Boardwalk to DTD and then get a bus to POP? I am assuming there is a bus stop at the Boardwalk that we could do that and not have to go to MGM right?

The bus stop is out in front of the Boardwalk hotel. About a 3 minute walk from the Boardwalk entertainment area.

Hey, if he's 28, go to DTD after leaving the BW and hang out there for a while. They've been operating PI ungated lately, so you don't have to pay to get in.

That sounds like a good idea - go to Boardwalk, maybe get something to eat at one of the restaurants and then head Downtown or Pleasure Island.

You do have to pay if you want to enter any of the PI clubs.
