:surfweb: Hey all,

We are planning a trip starting on New Year's day. We fly into LAX in the morning and are staying at the Anaheim Sheraton. This board has been a great source of information, I'm hoping you can help me with a few questions.

Anyone have ideas on a reasonably priced/quality car service to get to and from the airport? There are five of us and we'll have gotten up very early that morning and I figure a private car (suv or small limo) will be the most convienient and quickest way to get going.

I'm also wondering what my best options are for stocking the minifridge at the hotel. We'd like to pick up some breakfast and sandwitch fixings so we don't have to eat out every meal, but since we won't have a rental car I'm wondering how hard it is to find groceries in the area.

Thanks in advance

Look around, there are quite a few testimonials for having Vons delivery (Safeway), we stayed at DLH and the bell captain accepted our groceries in our absence and we called when we returned to the room adn they brought them up.

We also did a private car ($86 each way, included tip) through Prime Time Shuttle, and were very happy with the service!

Yep! Grocery delivery is the way to go! (And not just because my husband works for Safeway.com  )

We've taken the bus shuttle and it was fine, although for a larger group I understand the cost of a private car is just as good.

Can you get grocery delivery at any of the park hotels(we will be staying at Paradise Pier)or is that a big no no?

We used Albertsons. It was $9.95 for delivery and as stated previously, the groceries were left with the bell captain. We shopped on line and picked a window time for delivery. I thought that we had to be there for delivery but nope….
Madfelice, we stayed at the Grande. If they let us I’m sure PP will also.

Oops.. forgot to mention that the deal we got on water more than paid for the delivery fee!!!

We rented a car. We stayed at the Hyatt, and a Target was right across the street. That worked out well for us.:thumbsup2

what about the DIsneyland Express Bus? not sure the cost though... should be like $30 round trip per person?

Thanks. I now know how to get all that bottled water to the room then!:goodvibes Since we're coming from Australia I was at a bit of a loss over this@!

Hmmm, I have to tell you, I don't think you can order Vons or Albertsons for delivery to your room after all. :(

We live in Canada, and without a valid credit card USA billing address entered upon ordering, the order simply will not process, and there is no way around that, I was told both by phone and email by both companies.

Good luck, and please, keep us posted!

And- have a great trip!!!

Please let there be something around this! I was going to rely on this being a way to get food for my toddlers.. as i'm also coming from Australia!

I think i remember something about filling the address for DLR? I will go search for that post!

That's ok. I have a US address that is listed for my CC through a shipping company so I should be fine after all.

Another possibility... I know that most of the car services in Orlando bringing guests to Walt Disney World allow a free 30 minute grocery stop on the way to your hotel. This would allow you to do your own shopping and bring it with you straight to the hotel. You will have to check with the car services in California to see if they offer this service.

Hope that helps and you all have a great vacation! :goodvibes
