How to get from Epcot main entrance to International Gateway???

Is there any way to get from the main entrance of Epcot, without entering the park--to the International Gateway entrance. We went to Ohana one night for dinner (excellent!!!). One person in our party did not go to the parks that day. So to get from the monorail at TTC to our Epcot hotel, we ended up taking a taxi. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to avoid this in the future????? (if possible without a lengthy transfer at DTD)

You can't go from the main entrance of Epcot to the International Gateway without entering the park. You would be better off taking the monorail to MK and getting the bus to your resort from there. If MK isn't open, then catch the bus to MGM or Downtown Disney from the Poly and then get to your resort from there.

If MK is open to go MK and take a bus, if MGM is open take a bus there and then walk (or boat). If EPCOT is the only resort open and you're getting to EPCOT just after Illuminations they may let you walk through without a pass. Otherwise cab or DTD transfer.
