My DD and her husband want to go to Universal during our June Disneyland trip.
Does anyone know if there's a bus that goes there, or do they need to rent a car?

Thanks in advance!

I drove from Disneyland to Universal on a Sunday afternoon at the end of September last year and was surprised it took almost 90 minutes with the traffic (I visited Disneyland Fri & Sat, then moved to Universal for a work conference that started Monday morning). I thought a Sunday afternoon would be a breeze. So whatever you decide, leave alot of time. I wouldn't even want to think about it on a weekday morning.

i thought universal offered complimentary transportation under some condition but can't find anything on it at the moment.

it is possible to do it via mass transit, although not all that convenient.

We went through Grayland bus. They picked up at our hotel got us to Universal and brought us back.

Southern California Gray Line will take you. Their phone is 714-978-8855. They pick you up at the bus stop in front of Best Western Park Place and take you to the main bus stop to load the bus to get to the park. We are taking them to both Universal and Knotts in a couple weeks.

Check out the Gray Line link, I totally agree with others and go with Gray Line. I go with them every trip because of the convenience. They pick you up at your hotel, take you to the park and pick you back up at the park and take you straight back to your hotel.

You can get the tickets with transportation through gray line for just the park, or you can get the deluxe universal package which is where the bus takes you to the park, picks you up and drives you around through a sight seeing LA tour stopping at the Hollywood walk of fame, Disney concert hall etc.

You might find the prices through Gray Line a bit more pricey, but its cause your paying like $10 for transportation. :thumbsup2

Just a note, you must buy the entire package (ie, no pre-purchased universal tickets) through them to get the transportation.

I had a car but due to traffic it took me an hour and a half. Oh, this reminds me of the person on a motorcyle that was killed dead center in the street. that is my not so good memory of going there but US is nice
