How to get dining plan with 2nd reservation?

We have our DVC reservation for checking in Sunday the 19th and checking out Saturday the 25th. We would like to stay at a moderate the previous Saturday the 18th to save points. We are already going to do the dining plan with our DVC reservation for 6 nights. How can we get the dining plan added to the night of the 18th, for a total of 7 nights?

You can't, unfortunately. The moderate booking is through CRO, and their rules for the DDP package apply. Minimum stay and park ticket purchase.

The only way is to purchase a "package" and have the dining plan with it. I believe there is a minimum stay and you have to buy at least one park ticket per person as well.

Sorry, I see I made an "echo" post. I wouldn't worry about the dining plan for that one night. We have pretty much gotten over using the dining plan anyway.

You can get the Dining Plan if you pay for the moderate night with points. But that's hardly a way to save points and there's a $95 fee to boot.

If you have an AP you can get the DDP for stays at any WDW resort without the package requirement.

We have it for our Sat nite stay at POR in Dec.

Edit: Also, we are staying at POR on cash, not points.

If you go check in at the DVC resort early the next morning you'll have it for the entire day even if your room is not ready. If the DDP makes sense for you, it's unlikely adding it for the one night extra would be a good choice. It would be (if allowed) for a separate night and all credits would have to be used the day of arrival and/or check out from the cash room.

With an AP it may be possible to do so. You will need to call CRO and check. There was an announcement that this year AP holders can get the DDP without buying the "package." Remember though, that even if you can get the DDP for that one noght, it will not be pooled into the toal DDP credits of your DVC stay. You will need to use the Mod credits by midnight on the day that you check-out of the mod.

I did this for my upcoming trip in August. I had 2 nights at the end of trip at Pop with AAA rate. When AP rate came out, I was able to get a good rate for my 2nights including the DDP.
