Well, I've been trying to get a trip to Disney together for a long time. I almost had my dad talked into sending my siblings and I there over the summer, but some events in my life changed my choice to go. Again another change has occured and I feel I could use the vacation. My mom always askes, "why not go (name of any place) instead of Disney, it would be so much cheaper." Well, I'm only 20 and I can't rent a car at most places, second, I need something that will take up all my time and consume my mind, and third, Disney is the "Happiest Place on Earth." How can you argue with that? Anyways, I have enough money to pay for my side of the trip. I've talked to my mom, she will go with me, though she feels I should go with someone my own age. The problem with that is, all my girl friends are 16 and 17 years old (I met them on a trip to Disney World); and none of them have jobs and plus my mom is worried that they are minors and if something happens their parents will sue me.
My mom doesn't want my sister to go because my parents have shelled out enough cash for all her band trips (Disney World and Miami). And I don't want to go with my brother because he's lazy and he won't want to do anything.
I don't want to go alone because I hate being alone. I get along with my mom a lot and I think she would be cool to travel with (besides I think she could use a vacation).
The final problem is getting my dad to spare the money. The trip will cost about $2000 total:
hotel & park admission = $1070
airline tickets = $290
food = $400
airport transportation = $80
and then a little extra for spending (neither my mom and I plan on spending much because we've been there so much).
The trip is $1000 per person, if only two of us go. I just don't know how to get my dad to give my mom the money to go. Any suggestions?
