Please forgive me, as I'm a WDW guru, so I know NOTHING about how to find the best resort deals as USF/IOA. My son, niece and her BF are thinking of going down in December 2010 and me, being the travel fanatic, want to find the best deal for them. They'd probably stay just 1 nite, to get the FOTL benefit and will be spending the rest of the week with us at WDW. They are all over 21, so no issues checking in. Where do discounts come from? Is AAA the best discount if not wanting to get an annual pass? Any place I can sign up to be notified of deals? Where are the best deals found???

Back in October 2008, AAA was the best price for our stay at HRH.

We had really good park ticket prices (back for the $79 sale years ago), so getting an annual pass for one of us didn't work, but it was close. SO -- Be sure to price it both ways -- AAA price vs annual pass for 1 & room discount with annual pass.

There isn't as much "play" in prices as with WDW, so comparing prices is much easier.

We did the 1 night for FOTL and we used the pool after the parks on our check out day. It worked out quite well

stay one night on site and get two days of fotl perks.

good deal.

you can call and talk with a TM at reservations about the best rates.

they can inform you of the rates for military, corporate associations, AAA, AP, special deals, etc.
the loews hotels in orlando do not have all the rates available as other loews hotels do.

it is hard to predict how prices will be next december 2010.
with the potter section opening up, the hotels might fill up more on their own without having to do specials like they are this year.

AAA is the usual stand by for decent discounts on rooms.

I would love to know this info as well, just signed up for the Loews program.:)

We have always used the AAA discount for our room at HRH. We then buy the tickets at the AAA office near us since they are cheaper also.

AAA does not have any discounts for my dates.:scared1: I will check there ticket prices.:)

You never seem to know for use where you'll find a good deal. I found one for RPR on Expedia about three years ago but I don't know if that's even still possible. Loew's is definitely a more difficult one to find a bargain for.

My best advice is to call! Sometimes things don't show up on the website but if you ask directly there are sometimes things available that we don't know about. You can get obstructed view rates, AAA rates, FLA and Georgia resident rates, supersaver rates, annual pass rates, to name a few.

I just canceled 2 rooms at PRH because at RPR I could get 4 park tickets and save $400 and pay the same for the rooms in 2 weeks. :sad1:

Everyone seems to say Royal Pacific is closer to the parks, is that true?
