How to get an upgrade?

If you want a lot of info. on 5020, check out my three-peat trip report which is all about 5520, its mirror-image twin. Overally, it's a great stateroom, especially when you favor in the "free" view. It is convenient to everything. Only big negative is that it is a high-traffic area so you get a lot of hallway noise. But you can end up in a noisy area in almost any other stateroom, depending on your neighbors. Of course, a porthole can't compare to a verandah, but for those on a budget it's a very good choice. We will be in 5020 a lot in 2003.

I got an email on Tuesday of a $599 Western cruise (cat 11 guar.)leaving Jan. 4th. I put it on hold and then paid in full on yesterday. Today I called to order the cabin decorations and found I have been upgraded to a cat 10 on deck 7! how about that And I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the cabin decorated since it is less than 2 weeks to sailing.
