We have an artificial Christmas tree that was given to us. It's a very, very nice tree. We usually use a real tree but don't want to get rid of it because there may be a day when we need a nice looking fake tree. (like in an apartment or whatnot) How do you folks store your trees? I'm looking for a very cheap solution! We don't have the box.

We wrapped ours up in large blue tarp, tied with rope, and stored it up high in my parents garage (althoug we could have stuffed it in our attic, it's easier to access from their garage).

Right now we have ours in the box, but for an old tree we had I bought a bag for it from Bed Bath and Beyond, it was under $10 and was large enough to fit the tree and some other things like garland and stuff like that. I liked that there was a zipper on it.

I got one of those big Sterilite containers at Walmart. I forgot exactly how much it cost probably $15 or less. I disassembled the tree and put it in there, and keep it in the garage.

I too once had fake tree no box we had some 2 in wide ribbon that came with the tree but it's cheap at walmart pulled lower branches up 1 would hold branches up the other tied ribbon around lower branches. Then we used christmas tree disposable bag bought at dollar tree for 1.00 an pulled it down over tree an tied at bottom or some yrs set tree in bag an pulled it up over tree an closed at top. Then set tree under our stairs in basement.

Since the tree bags are only out on shelves during the holiday season your best bet now might be to use an old flat sheet over the top of tree an set it somewhere out of the way closet or storage space.

I always wanted a tree on wheels with an extra closet that I could store tree in from year to year an just wheel it out as needed

We have a very large fake xmas tree. When the box broke, I went looking for storage. I found at Joanne Fabrics a very large storage bag made just for xmas trees. It zips up and has handles on it. I use the handles to pull it up the steps from my crawl space, but those stronger than me would use it to carry...lol. I had to end up buying 2 of the bags to fit our huge tree.

Each bag is about 6 feet long and about 2 feet high.

I'm sure you won't be able to find it at Joanne's now. However, I bet you can find something similiar to it online somewhere.

We HAVE to use artificial as I am allergic to real, we have a tight sealing box we keep the tree and stand in. Also allergic to dust, so it is essential it remain dust free while in storage for me. WE keep the box in our attic and only bring down the tree parts and assemble in the room to be used in.

Also saves a ton of money thru the years.
