How about making it the Journey into IMAGINEERING!
They could celebrate the greatest hits of Imagineering- with set pieces from Horizons, the old Journey into Imagination, World of Motion, MR Toad,20.000 leagues, anything they still have from any number of discontinued rides...nostalgia, economically repurposing of stuff they still have lying around...I think this could really work!

As long as the Dreamfinder is back with Figment, I'd give it a chance...

That would be a neat idea for some sort of attraction. Even pieces from the now gone Toontown. Maybe a rotating exhibit somewhere. It'd be fun. It'd be better than the Backlot tour!

Great idea! Not quite the same, but Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA has some original ride pieces in the back of the park on a nature trail type setting. Very cool. :thumbsup2

Here's one vote for blowing up DreamFinder, lol. I didn't see it in person but on youtube I fell asleep a few times trying to watch the old version of this. I actually like Figment, but don't understand Captain EO...

That would be cool. I never saw any of the "old" stuff from back in the day. My first visit I was 23 and that was 7 years ago!
I googled info about 20,000 leagues a few days ago and am sad to see that i missed the "sub"(hahaha) on that ride. Looks like it would have been cool.
And once in a while, i listen to mouseworld radio(ok when i clean which is often) and i love the music for Horizons when it comes on

This thread would be a better fit on the theme parks community board, so I'm going to move it there now.

As with Dutch Wonderland mentioned above, I don't think it warrants an attraction of its own, but maybe a lobby of its own...like the line for Test Track - a kind of walk through the history of imagineering on the way to an exciting ride/attraction.

Bring back ImageWorks. I know that it's technically still there, but it's a shell of what it used to be.

I think some of that space would be swallowed up by my ride- but any display space in my Journey into Imagineering would be for what they call BLUE SKY CELLAR at DCA that sort of stuff and previews of coming Imagineering projects...

That would still be more in the spirit of the original ImigeWorks than what's there now. Heck, I'd just be happy if you used the rainbow tunnel. I miss it. :sad1:

Just trying to revive this thread...but I have been hearing about some of the things that do at the EXPOs and are met with enthusiasm...I think celebrating the Imagination of Disney Imagineers and previewing things to come would be in theme with Epcot and well received...it would great repeatability because part of it would be a section of new things to come which of course would change...
