How to find out if fast passes are still available

Hi there,

Ia there a way to see if fast passes are available at another park. Say you want to see if there are any RSR fp's left but you're in DL. Can you find out without having to go all the way there? Is there an app that shows if FPs are left for rides or is there any other way we could find out from DL if they are still avail without going there. Thank you!

You can try calling Otto (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/07/got-a-disneyland-resort-question-just-ask-otto/) or asking at Guest Services (they can usually find out if FPs are still available). The free unofficial Mousewait has FP information, but it's only good if guests in the park are updating the information.

The guest services kiosks can tell you if they are still available, and they typically can also tell you what time they are distributing for.

I clicked on the "Otto" link. Is calling Otto the only way to get info?
I was looking for something like Mousewait but one that is from Disney. I use an android galaxy tablet.

Thanks for the Otto tip - that could come in really handy! I just tried calling him & he said that the FP dist is for 8:10-9:10pm tonight. So I am thinking this could work. Would assume that if there were none left he would have said that. But just in case I will call back in a couple hrs & see what he says. Thank you!

Yeah, sorry Geemo, but that this point, Ask Otto or asking a CM at Guest Services is pretty much your only way to get the information from Disneyland rather than a third party. I've never actually used Ask Otto, but it sounds interesting. Maybe I should call it just to see what it's like!

Thought I would share back. We returned from our trip today & I used the call Otto numerous times & it worked really great. Highly recommend!

Went this past weekend and decided to give Otto a try.

New favorite thing. I'll be using it every time from now on.

I tried Otto this week to see how quickly it updated. It was about 5 min off on FP return times. Now, the return time can jump 5 min while you're walking up to the machine, but the park was pretty dead and in one case it held for a few minutes, I called back and Otto hadn't updated. If say, it told me that RSR return time was 11:10-12:10 on a busier day, I wouldn't expect to park hop from FL and find a return time anywhere near that. But I'd still know I could rush over to get an FP, just not what time I'd get.

I also didn't like walking by the Plaza Inn saying to my phone, "Star Tour. Star Tours! STAR TOURS!!" Maybe I could type with the number keys, like the good old days.

Wow, this is a great thread! Thanks Figment for that link and to the other posters here who related their Otto experience. Just when I think I kind of know all these important little details I find out something I knew nothing about.

I've abandoned the different apps for Call Otto and DD's Disney Twitter feed. Much more accurate.

Thanks for the feedback on this. We will be at DL next month during Spring Break so will give this service a try as it sounds like it could save us from wasting time during busy park days.
