Hi All!

Short of counting out the days on a calendar, how do you figure the 11 month out date to start making reservations at your home resort. Will Member Services tell you or is there some site that will help.

Thanks!
Margaret Mary

Do a search in this forum for Caskbill, he has a great planner that will help do this and it is free!!!

I always take the date of the trip arrival (e.g. May 1, 2006) and add one month and 1 day in the previous year (e.g. June 2, 2005). That is the date that I can make ressies for arrival, if I am doing a day-by-day ressie. If I am not doing day-by-day, I use the same procedure, but base the calling on our last night's stay instead of our first night. (If our last night will be May 8, 2006, I would call MS on June 9, 2005 and book the whole trip.) If any day you wish to book falls on a weekend or holiday then you must wait until the next MS work day to book.
Sounds difficult as I type this, but it seems easy to me when I do it. :confused3

It is usually the same date as your check out date but 11 months prior (which is the same as the next month but previous year) unless it is a weekend.

For example 5 nights in ending June 15, 2006 allows you to make reservations on July 15, 2005

The Neth family (Caskbill) has given us a great tool!!

Here's the Caskbill web site:

Its just wonderful!!! :rotfl:

Download the planner, go thru the prompts. When you insert your vacation plan...it will give you the day to call for ressies @ the 11 mo. and 7th mo. time frame.

and Caskbills planner is great, but at work (when MS is open) I cant download anything on my computer and at home my computer doesnt have enough memory to run it so I find myself counting days on the calendar too.

If anyone has a great way to calculate the 7 month window I would really appreciate it!

Jekjones thank you! Your method will help me tremendously. :cheer2:

Just remember that if you are making a reservation for January 29-31, you can make it on February 28. Same goes for other months with 30 days when you are making reservations for the night of the 31st at the 11 month mark. You don't have to wait until the first to make your reservation.

Its really not that hard. Certainly nothing that requires anything more sophisticated than a calendar. Just count back 11 months from the day you are going to leave WDW (yes, the end of your trip). For example. If you were going to plan a trip for May 8-12 2006, your 11 month window would open on June 12, 2005. Similarly, your 7 month window would open on October 12, 2005.
