How to dress?

This is probably a crazy question, but how do most people dress on the cruises in the winter? Do they wear sandals and dress like it is summer to dinner or season-appropriate?

We are wearing shorts and sandals. We leave on Thursday. We did the same for our cruise in Dec 03

We just came back from the 1/15 Magic Western. I took lots of shorts for the four of us. We had to wear our jeans and jackets almost the whole time. I unpacked yesterday and most of the shorts are clean. When we were on deck the temps were low 70's and breezy. The ship inside is a little cool for my tastes so we wore pants inside too. Next time I'm cruising closer to summer. I 'm a cold natured sort a gal!

It's not winter in the Carribbean! That's the whole appeal of the cruise!

Dress for the weather, not the calendar season.

We were on the 1/13 Wonder and we took both pants and shorts just in case, but ended up wearing shorts. The day that we set sail we had worn jeans because we had left from home that morning and it was still a little chilly...so when we got to port, we were ready to get to our luggage to change into shorts. Now the day that we disembarked was a totally different story...when we stepped off the ship it was very cold, and the wind was blowing hard. It was also trying to rain. So I would suggest packing for both if possible. But while you are in the Caribbean it will be just like summertime and people will have on their shorts and tees...as long as it's warm enough to do so, that is!!!

We are going on the Feb 26 western, it has around zero degree and below, we will be the people in the pool no matter what the temperature is. 60 degrees is going to be a heat wave....
When we went last year, we only wore shorts and sundresses, with a light jacket at night, when the ship is moving it does get breazy....
