How to dress/pack for early March?

We've gone in Sept, Oct and in January. Never March (we'll be there the first week). I love warm/hot weather and have to say that going in January was a pain. We froze in the mornings waiting for busses, and had to wear a jacket or sweatshirt each day. Then by late morning, my family was pulling off layers and trying to stuff them in our bags for us to haul all day. Not trying to sound whiney!!

I am hoping early March isn't exactly like I described, but it likely will be, won't it?

We're going early March as well... you just never know weather patterns. I check beforehand but always pack a sweatshirt and a thin windbreaker, preferably a waterproof one. One pair of jeans... just in case! Chances are it's still warmer than at home!

First week in March used to be Our Time until we discovered F&W. On about 10 such trips our experience was that daily highs would be mid 70s to mid 80s, maybe 4 or 5 days in the 60s, never lower. That's the highs, I recall a low of 49 once. Never had to wear long pants to the parks, in a few videos I see a long sleeve shirt on me. In all that time we had 1 day of full rain, very few scattered showers, March has the 3rd lowest rainfall in Orlando. We'd go there in a heartbeat that week, in 2014 we drove to WDW from Pa because the Winter in Myrtle Beach and Savannah was as bad as Pa and that week was in the 70s, no rain until get away day.

It'll be better than jan but it's still bouncing around. you could see hot and humid but you can also see chilly. it won't be jan chilly but it's not hot all the time yet. It's right on the edge of it though so it could end up being hot all the time.

That's when we're going as well. Last time we went to Disney it was end of July (aka HOT HOT HOT) so it'll be interesting to pack this time.

I've been in non spring break weeks in March a lot, and start with my basic sundress and add cardigans/leggings as the weather dictates as they are the lightest thing to carry around.

You really can't figure out how the weather is going to be this far in advance. We are having one of the warmest years so it is hard to say. I had years that in December we are wearing coats and yet another December we are wearing sandals and it is 80 weather. We are also going the first week of march and I am hoping and praying that it is not too hot.

Layers! Last year we had a fleece vest with capris to go to our PPO ADR but removed the vests around 10:30am. This year we will bring our light duvet jackets for the early mornings that fit in a tiny pouch.

I usually go in either December or March and March seems WAY hotter to me. Much more humid. Obviously it won't be as hot as the summer months (which is why I never go then!) but I would say compared to the winter months it's much hotter.

But like the winter months, Florida's weather is unpredictable and can change from day to day. So prepare like you would for any other time of year!

We went in early March a couple years ago and it was exactly like you described. It was below freezing several mornings. It was the start of Flower and Garden and they had to cover/wrap all the plants.

We are going March 4-9 and plan on bringing both fall and summer clothing. Can never be too prepared!

Last time we went in March we froze -- wet/foggy, cool (in the 50s) and windy. But it can also be very comfortable in March. I'd look at the forecast a couple days before departure and pack accordingly (but don't forget a jacket).
