We live in upstate NY and it will be a bit cooler here than in Orlando when we go at the end of Oct. DD#2 will be almost 4m old and I don't know how to dress her while down there. Her pediatrician said it's ok to put sunblock on her (and to test it on her leg first) but I'm afraid of her getting a sunburn. I was thinking of cotton pants and a onesie but I'm afraid of her getting too warm while in the Snugli.
If anyone could help I'd appreciate it :worship:

Of course now I also have to buy DD#1 all new shorts since she outgrew all her 2T ones!!! :rolleyes2 These shorts better fit her next summer when she's actually 3!!

When I carried my kids in the snugli, their pants always rode up and exposed their legs. So you would probably still need the sunscreen. Unless you got the leggings with the feet - with the added benefit of not losing any socks! ;)

I would wait until it gets a little closer. I've only been here for three Octobers, but so far around mid-October - just as I'm thinking the kids will bake in their Halloween costumes - the weather changes and it gets cooler.

We took DD last year when she was five months. We put sunblock on her everyday she wore either a shirt/onesie with shorts... we brought a thin jacket/fleece, an extra outfit and a blanket. She was fine, and we went the first weekend in November. We tried to get her to wear a hat but that was pointless. :rotfl2: It was warm but at night it gets chilly, so she would probably be fine in shorts, in pants she may get a little hot. Hope this helps, if you need anymore pointers about taking your 4 month let me know.

rather than buying her any new shorts-does she have any pants she has gotten too long for? i routinly turn my kid's sweat pants into sweat shorts when they get too short but still fit in the waist.

i also applaud the pants that come with built in footsies-they were the best!

hats are the best for sun protection at that age. one peice outfits are so convenient and if it gets cool in evening. . .use a blanket!

we've been to Disney 3x in october. once so sweltering hot and humid, once we shivered all evening long and once was just right! accu weather.com does a 15 day out weather forcast, check it often the week before you go.

Have a great time!
