We have a trip coming up in August and I would love to write a trip report after we return but I have never done one! Are there any threads with advice on how to do this? Am I posting this in the right place?

I have seen people do it all sorts of ways so I think it comes down to whatever makes sense for you. I think it is good to do a pre-trip report that details what your plans are and then follow up with a trip report when you get back that details how the trip went. It is good to know what you want to capture before you leave so you can be sure to get pictures or take notes -- you don't want to forget anything.

I'd review other people's trip reports because that should give you some good ideas.

I recommend keeping a trip journal with you. I would jot down notes about the day anytime I had a chance to sit down in the parks. I personally prefer to hand write, but you could even just type it on your phone. It really helps when you're trying to recall what went on on your trip because you'll have exact details as you write your trip report. Also take lots of pictures!

This is a great help! Is it hard to load pictures and make links to the key posts? I've never done that on here before.

Take a look at our DIS FAQ thread stickied at the top of this board. You will find instructions on how to do those things there.
