How to do 7 month window change??

I have a one-bedroom Preferred view booked at BWV for Oct 30 thru Nov 4. I am on the waitlist for a one-bedroom standard view.

I thought that since a one-bedrom Preferred view is the same points as a one-bedroom at BCV, I'd try to stay there. We've never stayed there before.

Is the 7 month point March 31?

How do I go about trying to get 5 nights there in October? Am I just wasting my time because of it being a popular time with DVCers? Should I call at the 7 month window of my last night? Or should I start calling when the first day is available? I'm afraid to do day by day and then have to move back and forth...my DH will kill me!

What do you all do at the 7 month window?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do it at 7 months from your check out date. It is unfortunate that BWV got theselves into this view for more points situation. You should like either BWV or BCV, don't forget BCV has Stormalong Bay.
