How to divide up 7 park days?

We'll be in the parks December 16-22, which is 7 days. Trying to decide what to do with the 7th day.

Right now I'm planning 2 MK days, 2 EP days (to fit in more storytellers), 1 DHS day, 1 AK. I'd originally thought we'd do a second AK day, but now I'm thinking maybe a 3rd MK day?

We tend to rope drop and be done for the day either right before/after dinner. We are planning to upgrade to AP's so we could theoretically park hop, although in the past with our kids ages (now 6 and 9) that's been pretty tiring for everyone.

I'm basically just trying to figure out for 12/22 do I want to book FP+ for FOP/Safari/Everest, or Space/MineTrain/Thunder. All of these will have been ridden on previous days. WWYD?

Our kids are also 6 and 9. We are planning 3 MK, 2 Epcot and 1 each at HS and AK

I would vote for another day at MK just because that is our family's favorite park. I'm not sure if this would affect your decision but there is a MVMCP at MK on 12/22.

If it was me, I would try to go back to MK at night, even with reduced hours, you get a lot done, 3 days seems a bit much. Probably do another day at AK, but depends on what your family likes. My family would be doing two days at DHS, but thats our favorite park.
Also, I would get splash mountain fast passes instead of thunder if your family has any interest in that. The lines are almost always longer for splash and it breaks constantly.

Even though I personally haven't done the Christmas Party, have you thought about buying a 6-day ticket then buying tickets to the party one night? It will be going on during your stay.

If you didn't do the party, I would personally do AK a 2nd time since that is my favorite park. 1 day at DHS is perfect especially right now. If you didn't want to do AK a 2nd time, make a 3rd park day at MK or EP.

OR

If you decide to buy tickets to the party and want to buy a 7-day ticket, do a half day at AK or EP on the party day then go to the MK around 4 or whenever you can get in with the party ticket.

My recommendations is based on if you are planning to buy only one park per day tickets. If you buy park hoppers, I have some other suggestions.

We will have AP's but my kids don't do well staying up late so no parties for us yet.

I would vote an extra day at AK. That is how we are doing our upcoming trip. We did 3 days at MK last time, and while we love MK, the third day was not needed. We also love AK and one day is not quite enough for us there, especially with PAndora which have yet to see.

Definitely another vote for MK. We just spent 2 days in AK and I was sorry. We had a FP for NRJ and we were sorry we wasted a day of FPs on that. 1 day was enough of AK for us. We also went in the summer when it was hot - we enjoy MK much better.

I would a down day with no park in the middle. Or do a sleep in day & then a park at night.

My vote would be Magic Kingdom. I made a list of the rides I wanted to ride at each park. The one for Magic Kingdom filled an entire page. The other 3 parks put together filled a second page. At least until they finish Star Wars and Toy Story Lands, MGM/DHS is a half-day park IMHO.

My idea would be just to keep the one day open. We have had trips where I am so glad that we had a down (totally unplanned) day just to explore. It opens up time to do things that people want to do again. One time we just went from park to park to see one attraction in each. Another time we did our own version of a monorail pub crawl and just had snacks around the loop.

OK. I would get the AK FP+s you are looking at. Then, if you decide later in the week that you don't want to re-visit AK, you can change your FP+s for MK ones. 7DMT might not be available, but your other 2 should be. OR, just do your FP+s plus one or two more things that you want to hit again in the morning at AK and hop to MK for a few rides in the evening.
