arg!

I bought an electric roaster to cook the Thanksgiving turkeys in, since I now have only one oven. To free up the oven for baking, I figure I'll use the electic roaster to heat up the ham for Easter. I have the booklet that came with the roaster, but there are no suggestions for cooking a ham. Can I cook a pre-cooked whole (spiral-cut) ham in an electric roaster? What temp and how many minutes per pound?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use my roaster to heat up our ham at Christmas. I usually cut the ham first (just to make it easier to serve 25 people for dinner!) and then heat it on a lower temperature...I would guess around 300 or so. It usually takes about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours depending on how tightly packed it is.

If you're going to put it in whole I would just follow whatever heating directions are on the package. Maybe check it part way through and if it's not heating quickly enough you could turn up the temp.

Good luck!
