How to congratulate 200 Teens? Need ideas/links please!

Hi all!

Back from the BIG band competition weekend and we were literally the Cinderella story.....from nowhere to GRAND CHAMPIONS in a matter of hours!

I'm still high off the excitement! I'll give details on another post

BUT I want to do something for the band members that's REAALLY special to show how proud I am of them.

Balloons seemed blase.....

Right now I'm checking into the custom printed M and M's, but it's gonna run me over $100 bucks to get as many as I need.

What else could I do? I want to handle it today if at all possible, so just throw any idea out there you can, with links, if you can!

What about getting sheet cakes? Are they already planning a party to celebrate? Maybe you could help organize?

Okay, you have less than 100? How about a plaque to display that is more personal than the one they won. LIke " From nowhere to Grand Champions! Congrats band class 2005!"

Make up stickers that they can wear?

I am drawing a blank on the company we used for our United Way Campaigns when I worked for another corporation. I tried looking for promotional products in the yellow pages and didn't see any listings. How about trying to find one in your area and see if they will give you a discount. Also, talk to the principal or band director and see if they will give you a letter to approach businesses to help pay for the items. Most companies have this type of expense built into their budgets.

Could you get all of them mini albums so they could put in their band pictures, group pictures, memories.... and have that engraved for each of them.
Or get cheaper photo frames and have those engraved.
If you go online or even at Wal-Mart or Costco, you could get group pictures done and put those in there before handing them out.

This isn't a very good idea - but you could burn CDs with photos from the competition and add music (the band's) to it?

I know at Staples they sell a device that you make/create your own labels for the CD. You could make a label congratulating them on being the Grand Champions.

A lot of kids never have anyone taking photos of them or someone recording their performance.

Along that line is also the idea of making a video for each one of the performance.

Btw, congratulations to the band - that's a feat to be very proud of!

Seems to me that if there are 200 students each family could at least chip in $2. that would help with expenses!

Yes, I am. Just something I wanted to do. I decided to go with the customized M and M's and will mix them with regular ones, so it'll look like more! Came to about $130, but I can't wait to see the looks on their faces!
