How to Cancel DVC Contract

FWIW I cancelled in 2019 using the posted email address... I don't remember *exactly* how it went down, but based on the email I had spoken with a quality insurance cast member before sending the email. Probably Guide -> QA -> Email -> refund

This is assuming that the buyer bought Direct from Disney and not a resale contract.

When buying at WDW you have 10 days after signature. When buying direct it’s only your signature and when buying resale it’s 10 days after everyone have signed.

Update:
All money was refunded.
Email was accepted ,Contract was canceled(purchased direct)due to Notary was not signed.
She and her husband did send in a letter(confirmation of delivery) of cancelation on the same day as email was sent.

And her husband's has a new job.

You dont go through the notary unless you have passed ROFR.

I believe @Jbunny850408 purchased direct - so no ROFR. In their case the rescission clock started 10 days from when they signed the original contract not the date they notarized their mortgage doc.s.

I'm glad all went well. They've must have been some stressful days and fortunately Disney didn't add more making this more complicated than needed.
