Our next trip is scheduled for 12/16-12/24/05. My son and I have always wanted to attend. Does anyone know how I purchase tickets and how far in advance they go on sale?

They go on sale in August/September. Usualy a few days after they announce the dates.

We called the regular Disney number 407 wdisney

BTW, the parties usually end a week or so before Christmas.

Ed,

Thanks for for the heads up.

We got our tickets earlier than this--in June, I think they went on sale in May of this past year. The last night of the party was December 17 so hopefully you should be able to "sneak" in one night of the party! Try to buy your tickets as early as possible because they do sell out and at the time you are going to WDW there will be limited nights if any!
I ordered our tickets through this number: 407-W Disney ( 407-934-7639)
We thoroughly enjoyed the party-hope you have the oppurtunity to go!

Thanks Crazee4mickey! I figured it would probably be the last night of the party that we would be able to attend. I appreciate all the advice I can get.

Happpy New Year to All!

Happy New Year Shannon-
Thought I should mention as well that the parades, shows, etc. they have at MVMCP, are the same as those you will experience before and during Christmas.
The party is the only way for guests travelling in late November-early December to see the Christmas parades and shows as they are not shown at any other time than the party.
The Christmas parades and shows become a regular feature throughout the day and evening after the last date of the party--so you will see them without paying the extra for the party!
I've read that unlike the MNSSHP which has special things only available during the party that MVMCP is exactly like what you will see-without paying extra-from the last date of the party through the Christmas season!

You can call 407 WDW Disney and order them when they go on sale, you can order them from the official Walt Disney World webside, or you can buy them onsite. If you purchase them before the date you are intending to go, you will save $5 per ticket.

Difference is, with the MVMCP the tickets are limited, so you won't encounter all of the crowding you will during Christmas. Definitely worth the extra money to me!

Thanks Bonnie and Eeyore0062. I have since read something similar regarding whether to spend the extra $$ for MVMCP or not. Some say it is well worth it and some say it is not. I really appreciate all the advice but I guess it all boils down to one thing. How will "I" ever truly know unless I go and see for myself. I do know one thing for sure and that I am absolutely, most definately going to splurge for the dinner package to see the Candlelight Processional. I missed it last year due to my ex-hubby (my son's dad)and his family showing up at WDW durring our trip unexpectedly and we ended up hanging out with them cause DS was so excited that DAD was their and got to spend time with him-I'll stop! Yikes!! Anyway, I missed it here at home this year at Disneyland on 12/4 due to being ill so, I'M GOING.
Hey everyone- Have a Very Happy New Year!

Shannon
