how to buy more points

we bought into the DVC last Jan (2016) we got 2015 points (100) then in Aug we got 2016 points (100)we used a little over 100 for our stay this April and already have used another little over 100 for our trip in Jan 2018 and have 35 left until Aug of 2018
which well have to borrow some for the trip in 2019

so Id like to buy a small contract say maybe 25 or 30 points

is this even possible and how would I do this , how much would it be and do I get them for the same resort and UY or is there an advantage to having them at another resort and UY

our UY is Aug and home resort is POLY

if someone could please explain this to me in very easy to understand terms

If you buy direct, I think the min you can buy is 50 points (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Small contract resale, I'd click on the link at the top of this page that says DVC and follow the links to buying.
My UY is March and when I added on direct for Poly thru Disney I got the same UY.

If you already own a contract, you can add on 25 direct points if you pay cash.

First - if I've understood correctly the remaining 35 points are 2017 points so you will need to bank them by March 2018 at the latest to be used for a Jan 2019 stay or at least bank them prior to booking the Jan 2019 stay. At that same time you'll have the 100 2018 points to use and could borrow 2019 points. So, if they are 2017 points do you still need to do an add on or will you actually have enough when combined with the 2018 points and possibly borrowing 2019 points?

If you do need more points and will continue to stay at the Poly and just need a few more for your stays there then I suggest keeping it simple and adding on at Poly. Contact you're guide and you'll have them in your account probably in 24 hours or less. As long as you purchase prior to Aug 1, 2017 you will receive the current 2016 points that you can bank into your 2017 UY and all points going forward. You could then have MS swap out the banked 2016 points on your Jan 2018 stay and have more 2017 points to bank for you Jan 2019 stay.

You will be required to buy a minimum of 25 points if paying cash or 50 points if financing.
