We plan on being at MK on 8/13 for an early ADR at CRT.. then RD. When I made my FP the only time I was able to get a FP for A&E was for 3:30. The more I think about it I think my DD5 and DN6 will be in meltdown mode by 3. A&E is a must do for us. I would like to have some thoughts as to how we can fit in some rest time before 3:30. We also have a FP for 7DMT @2PM. I would go back to our resort before lunch but we are staying at AOA and I'm not sure if that would be doable. Any thoughts? TIA

Head over to Tomorrowland and ride the TTA a few times and then catch CoP. That show is about 20-25 mins and DH always takes a quick nap in there.

Tx, sorry not sure Cop is.

COP= Carousel of Progress and I agree, it's dark and cool in there and a great place to relax. I believe the TTA (Tomorrowland Transit Authority - 10 minute ride) is closed for enhancements at this time so that's not an option. It may be available by the time you arrive though.

I agree with PP, why not catch the monorail to Grand Floridian and relax for a bit? Their lobby area is nice.

If you want to stay in the park, maybe try getting a reservation at The Plaza and just order something light. It's a great place to cool down.

Carrousel of Progress. The song is as powerful an ear worm as small world. DD 12 has been known to sing it in her sleep.

"Oh there's a great big beautiful tomorrow"...that song will get stuck for sure. My 10 year old daughter says this is her favorite ride  so it's a must do. Her father and I love it because we can take a little rest. I love the COP because I have many memories of my grandfather riding it with me when I was a child. Ah...love passing along memories of my childhood :goodvibes

Take the train around the park a few times. Its such a wonderful breeze and a nice relaxing ride. And then take a boat to the Poly and lay at the sandy beach. You'll be glad to get away from the over stimulation for a bit.

We have done quite a few things.
-train around the park a few times.
-The Phillharmonic movie
-The president, or COP is fine but our 5 year old was board and restless.
-Ride the monorail around the loop a few times
-Boat over to Polly,. or WL or the Fort for lunch (our favorite is trails end buffet but you might not be that hungry)
-A mid day sit down lunch at the MK.

We spent over an hour one afternoon riding the TTC to MK ferry back-and-forth-and-back-and-forth. The staff couldn't have been nicer and my son (and DH!) both fell asleep for a little bit. We returned to MK after our boat-break refreshed and ready to go.
We tried the monorail loop as a break another day, but it was way too stimulating for my DS, but he was in a huge train phase at the time :-)

Basically, anything that gets you out of the heat and crowd of the park for an hour or so can make a HUGE difference in your day.

Lots of great ideas, MK has lots of options for relaxing. If they don't need to relax so much as decompress a little you could always take them to the island and walk around and explore :)

We like the HOP (Hall of Presidents) for a mid-day nap.... haha... Its long and inside and cool :)

Lol We were planning hall of presidents too! DH wants to go, its right near lunch plans... perfect!

Let everyone sleep in and go to the park late. Start your day with your 2pm Fast Pass.

That would be ideal but with an early ADR at CRT that won't work for us.

That sounds like some nice relaxing quite time.

That's exactly what I'm looking for.. a nice quite spot to unwind and take a little nap.

:thumbsup2

Its a large theater too, so you can easily sit near the back. They may even allow you to stay for two shows (it's rarely ever full)
