How to borrow points??

We are planning a trip in Oct 2014 I will be booking at the 11 month window (in November) at our home resort (BCV) . My question is I need a few more points to finalize the booking when I call MS do I tell them I need to borrow or do I borrow before I call? I will also be banking 2013 pts if that matters.

No need to borrow ahead of time...if borrowing is needed, they do it "on the spot" when making the reservation--at least this is how it's done when you book via a call to MS...might be different if you're doing online booking--but it's probably the same. You can't borrow until you need the points, so borrowing ahead of time seems "impossible" given that rule?

If you are booking online your contracts pop up and you can choose which ones you want to borrow from if you have more than one and don't have enough current points.

You must bank the points before making the reservation so that they are in the correct UY (the same UY as your dates of travel).

You can only borrow points when making a reservation. You cannot do it ahead of time.

You can bank points online. You can also borrow points within the online reservation system as BlazerFan already described. If you are more comfortable having some guidance, MS can take care of everything for you.
