Ok.. do you call or do it online? Also, it seems to me that you were saying to only book the campground and not the tickets at the same time. I played around on the Disney website and the cheapest hotel was actually Port Orleans. I have 4 possible itineraries saved: campground alone for 10 days 529 dollars, campground with 5 sets of Park Hopper tickets $1931. Like I said, Port Orleans room was 149 instead of the 182 for a POP suite, but I guess my daughter would sleep on the floor but it didn't flag me as having too many people like other rooms. Anyway, the room alone was $1857 and the cost with the tickets was $3079. So... I just don't see how hubby would justify the hotel room since it alone is more than camping AND tickets. So.. do I call?

POR has a trundle bed. It is the only Mod that is capable of sleeping 5. The rooms are nice and the grounds are beautiful. I'd definitely prefer to stay there than a suite at the POP. Still, when you are looking at savings, the Fort wins hands down. FtW is closer to MK, POR is a nice boatride to DTD. Both offer a campfire, bike rental, horse and carriage ride. FtW has Hoop-Dee-Doo and the backyard BBQ plus a sit down restaurant. POR has a food court and POFQ has wonderful Begniets. POR has access to 2 really nice pools, the fort (hopefully) will in the future. So really, what it boils down to, if you take money out of the equation, is would you rather camp or have a hotel experience? Both are wonderful, you really can't go wrong with either. Having said that, you will experience a more "family" atmosphere at FtW. You are more likely to meet and mingle with your neighbors. For me personally, that aspect makes FtW a much more satisfying vacation.

I call to book the Fort. Check into an available AAA discount (10% or 15% depending on when you visit), if you have it. If you don't have it it might be cost effective to get it for a year depending on the savings. For tickets we used a link to Undercover Tourist from MouseSavers.com. We never buy the tickets through Disney.
