How to book 8 nights?

I'm new to DVC and am looking to book 8 nights (Fri - Sat) next year at a non-home resort. With my luck - our spring break next year falls the week before Easter - so I'm a little nervous... If at the 7 month mark, I'm allowed to book only 7 nights (Fri-Fri) - when can I book the 8th night? Would it be 7 months from the last night needed, or would I call the very next day and have them just add it on (as if my first Friday night was a one night stay and then my second ressie is 7 nights Sat-Fri)? Would they have to cancel and re-book to do this? Do I risk in switching it like that, someone takes it in between the cancellation and re-booking?

You can call the next day to add the last night.

there shouldn't be any risk if you are just changing the beginning or end of the reservation.

Your good, just be on the phone at exactly 9am. Make the resv for the first 7 days and let him know you are going to call back the next day for the 8th day. They leave a note on the reservation. The next day call at 9 and tell him you want to modify an existing reservation, you want to add a day to the end of your March reservation. Super easy... We make our reservations for 14 days, so i make the first 7 and then have to call back each day until i hit my 14... Amazingly stupid system but that is what you have to do. We do it twice a year...
