What would be the best way to blend my sons blemishes in his graduation pictures?

Any suggestions will help

What software do you have? The best results, ones that won't look edited or plasticy, will most likely come from someone skilled in Photoshop.

Do you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements? There's a feature call the "healing brush" that will do just that.

You first select a spot on his face that's clear of blemishes. This lets Photoshop know that that's where you want to sample the spot from. Next, you click on the blemish itself, and wha-la! the blemish is gone!

I've grossly over-simplified the steps involved, but that's essentially what you'd do. This technique is well-described all over the Internet (do a Google search for "healing brush") or on YouTube. You can also check out your local bookstore for Photoshop Elements books (ex. "Photoshop Elements for Dummies"?) that describe this technique.

Hope that helps. :)

I will do this for you if you send me or upload the original full size image somewhere. Also...what degree of smoothing do you want? Do you want just a few "teenage beauty marks" removed or do you want professional portrait-like smoothing?

paint shop pro photo has a blemish remover tool it's awesome, you adjust the size of the tool, click on the blemish and it's gone.

another program, great for portraits.blemish fixing.. is portrait professional..

I'd be happy to show you what these programs can do if you'd like to send me one of the full size files..

yes, i would love for you to show me what you can do with these. I only use photo bucket and photo explosion. I would like to clear it a little.
Thanks

What do i have to do to get the pictures to you? my email address is tabbh@bellsouth.net

Smashing Magazine actually had a great blog post yesterday on using the Healing Brush and Spot Healing Tool for Photoshop.

Oh, and sorry for not including the entire link below...my post count isn't high enough yet. :sad1:
