How to best use 18 banked points

So I'm having a problem with these 18 banked points from our new Feb UY BWV contract. We used 32 of the 50 end of July, and the remaining 18 are proving to be hard to use. I do not want to borrow from 2025, as it will throw off our point allocation even more since it's a small 50 pt contract. I have a stay booked at CCV in Dec, but b/c these are banked points i can't transfer them into our Oct UY. We are looking at a September 2 night stay, but obviously Saratoga is all that's available, which we are fine with, but again, don't have the points. Oh did I just answer my own question, do I simply transfer what I need from my Oct 2024 UY Saratoga contract into the BWV contract to make this booking?

You could transfer the points from SSR to BW or you could purchase One Time Use Points for $20 pp to complete the reservation

Call MS and see if they will allow you to transfer them…they have allowed owners to move banked points between your own accounts

ok thanks for this, I tried chatting and was told no. I'll call tomorrow and see. Would it really be any different though than transferring the SSR points to BWV contract instead?

Transferred Oct UY points won’t be eligible for the Sept stay since you’d need to borrow them and transferred points can’t be borrowed.

So, in this case it would.

I will soon have 6 left over. Maybe I could transfer to you and with your 18 it could give you your 2 nights at SSR.

Thanks all, I chatted again, they transferred the 18, then when I went to book on my phone it still showed them with BWV, so it allowed me to book the 2 night stay using both contracts.

18 points can get you 2 nights in the AKV Value Studio in certain times. You will see them pop up at times mid-week.

Book those then rent the two nights out.

Transferred points always keep their own rules. They don’t change so they would still show as BWv

MS creates a temporary contract in your other membership to hold them, so you can use together for a reservation,

So if I’d not asked them to do that, it won’t let you pull points from different UY contractd for a single reservation, correct?

Correct. You can only use points in a single membership to book a reservation.

What is nice, though, is they are now at least giving owners the ability to transfer banked points between their own accounts, as well as allowing us to transfer more than once between ourselves.

It does make it a bit easier if one needs to do it!

Yes it was very easy! Glad I reached out again and got a cast member that would help. When I started the chat I asked to move my SSR points, but said I’d tried to do it the other way and was told no. The SSR points are actually Oct 24, so I see you answered the question of transferring them above, thanks!
