For the purposes of this thread and discussion, they're the same thing as taxis, although the fare differs.

A Platinum (residents of any state or country can buy and use it) annual pass costs $798. which is the approximate cost of two 7 day non-hoppers. In some cases the AP is cost effective for two vacations in 12 months considering just the cost of park admission. Almost always the AP is the better bet for three vacations in 12 months.

I can't believe some of the stuff people ask. This is the budget board. People on here BUDGET to have the money to pay for parking, APs, or even staying onsite.

Parking at the parks is the easiest and most convenient way to go for offsite folks.
You've likely saved a lot of money by staying offsite, why not splurge on yourself for convenience and forget all the clandestine work of skipping paying for parking.

We have a condo in Orlando and I hate paying for parking. I was thinking on sneaking on a shuttle at a near by hotel. Any other options for an off site vacationer?

I would just pay the $15. You would feel really foolish if you got caught doing something illegal in order to save such a small amount of money

Every bus goes to/from Disney Springs and all the resorts directly. None of the buses go to/from Parks and Disney Springs. None of the buses goes directly from resort to resort. IE. You cannot go directly from Contemporary to Beach Club etc.

The problem with the hub system is that the hub is not centrally located. A way to solve the free ride and direct service to all is to use the wrist band. You are a resort guest or have paid for parking you get to ride the bus. Drivers can have a portable scanner and scan at the door before you get on. They have them at Storm Along Bay

This is a good idea except that some people legitimately get dropped off for the day. It is my understanding that you are welcome to use the transportation inside the property under these circumstances.

If I have to lie and/or look for ways a round rules, it's not budgeting. There's a point where people aren't able to afford their trip - bare bones or not. If you can't afford the parking, which is part of the trip, then you can't afford the trip. That's that.

If I have to lie and/or look for ways a round rules, it's not budgeting. There's a point where people aren't able to afford their trip - bare bones or not. If you can't afford the parking, which is part of the trip, then you can't afford the trip. That's that.

It's not about being rich. It's about being dishonest. And if $20 a day for a week is "make it or break it" for your vacation budget, then maybe you really can't afford this trip. Wanting to save a few bucks is fine- but what you are suggesting will literally make you and your family miserable trying to get back to your car, and wasting tons of time. That's being penny wise and pound foolish.

You don't have to be rich to afford parking fees. If you bought expensive theme park tickets, and your renting out a condo, you can figure out how to gather up another $100 for parking with the amount you saved yourself staying off property.

If you can't do that, it's just not a good year for a trip. Seriously. There's a difference between cooking in your room to save money, bringing in drinks, skipping souvenirs, and cheating the system.

It doesn't look like you're hurting for trips/money from your signature. You can do it, Nelson. Just work a fee extra hours between now and your trip. Go out to eat one less time.

I actually did park at TTC without paying but it was not intentional. The route I took from our time share did not take us by any payment booths. It was just one day and it was not planned. The next planned MK day of our trip I paid to valet at the Contemporary (ADR at Chef Mickey) even though I knew I could park at TTC for nothing.
