We have a condo in Orlando and I hate paying for parking. I was thinking on sneaking on a shuttle at a near by hotel. Any other options for an off site vacationer?

Most of the off site hotels charge for parking, too.

2. At least one adult family member purchases a Platinum annual pass, which allows parking at theme parks at no additional charge,

or,

3. One adult family takes off his park guest hat and puts on a chauffeur's hat. He drops off the rest of the family at a resort to take the Disney park bus. Then he drives the family car (or rental car) from that resort.

annual pass how much is that? And you get free parking?

ok I looked it up and you get up to 35% off some disney resorts but then you get free parking anyway. I will have to crunch the numbers but I bet Disney comes out on top again, ight just be best to pay for parking. Is there such a thing as a parking pass you pay in advance online and save on parking?

If you own a condo in Orlando, chances are you would qualify for a cheaper Florida AP.

This may be the budget board, but you won't find anyone here that will help you avoid paying parking fees by parking at a resort or at disney springs. They'll offer suggestions like getting an AP or using uber or lyft like has been done. Or find other ways to raise the money or adjust the budget. Or buy some discount disney gift cards. The board is about saving money but in legit ways.

Is there a shuttle from downtown Disney back to a resort?

Every bus goes to/from Disney Springs and all the resorts directly. None of the buses go to/from Parks and Disney Springs. None of the buses goes directly from resort to resort. IE. You cannot go directly from Contemporary to Beach Club etc.

The problem with the hub system is that the hub is not centrally located. A way to solve the free ride and direct service to all is to use the wrist band. You are a resort guest or have paid for parking you get to ride the bus. Drivers can have a portable scanner and scan at the door before you get on. They have them at Storm Along Bay

So, you are wanting to park at Disney Springs, bus to a resort so you can catch a bus to a park. Then at the end of the day, you have to bus to the resort so you can catch a bus to Disney Springs to get your car. You would do all that and waste that much time just to avoid paying for parking??? Crikey. I'd pay for parking three times over to not do what it seems you are suggesting.

what is lyft or uber?

These are services that drive people. Just everyday people who want to make some extra cash and sign up to drive people places. They are not free but I have no idea how the cost compares with parking cost.
