How to avoid error code when booking at 8am?

Site was down last night and again this morning. So frustrating especially when trying to book early December. My son was helping and he finally got something. Wanted lock off which I did not get but at least did get resort view. Good luck to everyone with booking

It’s a tough one. My successes are load the search parameters. Only search for exactly what you are attempting to get. Right at the top of the hour moment..search..if shows it’s there..quick click it..then quick click that continue (or whatever that says).

I always forget...you have to press update AFTER 8 then book if it's there right? If you update and queue it up before 8 and click book it won't work regardless if the room is available or not?

In other words no faster way than wait for exactly 8:00:00, click update, click on book room.

Since the new booking interface rolled out a couple months ago (?) you no longer have to hit update after 8 am. Have the room you want selected and then hit continue right at 8.

I'll be trying this tomorrow morning. But I'm skeptical as I have hit continue after selecting the night very recently and got tossed backwards and had to enter again. Tomorrow is not an essential booking for me, just a 'nice if I can get it'.

All I can say is it worked for me at the 11 month mark for booking at VDH for Thanksgiving week.

Yeah so this morning I had it queued up...pressed update 10 seconds before...waited for the stroke of 8 am...probably a good half second after...clicked book and got an error message and had to go back/refresh. I guess if I try tomorrow I can wait a full second before clicking book but that's probably the difference between getting it or not. Will also report back.

Didn't actually get to test it as the night I was looking for disappeared sometime between 6 and 7:58am (logged in early and it was there. Logged in to try the booking and it was not available to check.

But, I was able to grab another night, replacing my more expensive view and saving me 5 points. Then I created a waitlist for todays objective but kept checking also for a while. I already have a split stay so now it's good but could be better as replacing the next 4 nights would save me 20 points on those 4 and 29 points overall on seven nights (I think that math is correct.) It's obviously still early in the game and I could snag the nights or a waitlist could come through. Not worried as I always have a car and travel with a plan. As a single or even double, we just pivot on a move day and have plans in place. Moving is not a big deal for me - small carryon and small rolling cooler, unless I'm checked into the same room for the whole stay, then I need a luggage cart and it's driver (<g>).

I don't recommend this strategy with kids (they usually need a bit of help) or picky, unorganized adults.

The full stay is 9 nights at Disney and a separate offsite week. I want to be away from snow for as long as possible in 2027!

Similar here. Didn’t even matter because somehow since yesterday the inventory for the next 4 days was taken. Yesterday was there well into the day when I stopped checking. Not sure how that happens considering all the walkers would’ve grabbed whatever they needed by then? Perhaps a Febuary use year thing. Not sure but will keep looking to stalk.

I think it was probably walkers as their night usually stays until they pick it up or 8am when someone can grab it whichever happens first. That's why I immediately put in a waitlist just in case the walker is just moving through what I actually want in February.

I 'could' have checked with my BCV points but 2 minutes goes by fast and I didn't think fast enough. BCV is not all booked up like my BW rooms are, and I already have a BCV reservation when I want it.

Bottom line I'll have a room. I'd just prefer the cheaper rooms as that's my preferred area. I can get in the same area using garden view but then I'm paying 29 points a week to just be across the hall. Enough to make me play with it.
