This might seem a strange question, but I have seen that people email the hotel a week before they fly to request either a pool/sea view (when they have only paid for the standard room).

Firstly, if anyone has done this, how do they word the email? I am worried that they might think I want to pay to upgradem also do not want to appear rude in asking. (We normally end up overlooking the kitchens!! :rotfl:)

Also if anyone has done this, do they get their request or do they get a rubbish room because they have been cheeky enough to ask !!! :lmao:

Thanks :goodvibes

Hi, I did this when we went to DLRP earlier this year. This is what I sent:

I am due to arrive at Disneyland Paris on Sunday 11th January. My booking number is: *******. I would like to make a polite request, please. At the time of booking, I requested a cot in our room for my youngest daughter. I just wanted to check that this would still be available.

I hope this isn't cheeky, but would it be possible to request a room with a nice view? This trip is very special to us as a family, as my husband and I have been together for 20 years this year and staying at The Disneyland Hotel is a dream come true for all of us!

We look forward to staying at The Disneyland Hotel.

Kindest Regards,

Not in pink btw!

I received a very nice reply, that didn't commit to anything but I held out a bit of hope. Anyway, we were given a lovely room, in my opinion, with a partial view of the castle. It was still a standard room (as expected) but it was particularly well-positioned. I sent a 'thank you' email on my return and they replied, saying that only some of the standard rooms have a partial view of the Castle, overlooking one of the entrances.:goodvibes

I'm not sure whether my request had anything to do with the room, but it might have. One of my favourite memories is sitting with the window open one night, in my robe and slippers, listening to the Disney music drift in from the park.:lovestruc

Sounds magical.

We are staying at the Beach Club resort in WDW in Dec do you know were can i find the email address for this resort so i can give it a go as it will be our 12th wedding anniversary and my Mums 70th Birthday.

Thanks

I always fax about 4 days before, I ask nicely to have a room close to the pools, restuarents etc. I don't know if it was because of the fax but we have always been given rooms in fab locations :goodvibes

I'm planning on sending a polite fax/e-mail before we arrive at ASSp next May to request a specific building and possible connecting rooms. If I get them or not, who knows? :confused3 But I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to ask nicely :)

I always send an email or fax just politely asking if it would be possible to have a quiet room! (ie not next to the lift/ice machine/above disco) and, if possible, would it be possible to have a bit of a view.

It's never failed (so far) even when just booking a 'standard room'.

We got the room we asked for, we have a savannah room which is close to the lobby :thumbsup2

Hello,

Well before we left for Cyprus I emailed the hotel, saying we were looking forward to visiting the hotel and when allocating the rooms if it was possible could they give us a nice room.

We arrived to find that they had noted our request and gave us four rooms with a lovely pool/sea view (we only paid standard).

We were very lucky.

The weather was hot hot hot! Very depressed now :sad1:
