How to adjust SW prices?

ok I see that some people are able to adjust prices for flights if the price drops. I know that SW will just give you a credit for future use. But to be able to do this do you have to do the refundable tickets?

Ok so when Jan prices come out and say I book tickets under the "internet one way or promotional fares" if that price drops or a DING comes out will they price adjust? Also if people are getting them to drop their ticket prices, must it be the same exact flight???

Help! I though once you booked a nonrefunable ticket from SW (funfare, internet one way ect) you were "stuck" with paying that price even if it dropped a LOT~! Just trying to decide how to go about getting the best deal from Idaho to Orlano for 5 people in Jan!

Nothing is not changeable on SW .

We also book one-way only so it's easier to change and not effect your other flight.

The difference is what type of credit you get. If you have a refundable ticket or a few others you can get your creditcard charges refunded.
If you book the others Nonrefund/funfare/promo you get a SW travel credit that you can use up to 1 year ( this can sometimes also be extended by SW for a few months).

To change a fair or time you just go to the Travelcenter and walk through the process of changeing ( very easy ) at the end you will get you credit redempion number for future travel.

Now a Ding can only be booked through the Ding sight . So it's a bit tougher to make the change.

After you relise the Ding applies to you .You open another EI ( or any browser ) window .go to cancel your ressie you have ( right up to the point of confirming the cancel.
Then go back to the Ding (make sure flight still there) right up to the point of paying.If the flights are still avail then

Comfirm cancel it will give you your travel voucher number ,Go back to the Ding and enter it into payment and it will leave the rest of the money on the voucher for you.

It seems a bit much but go and play with it until you get use to switching between the two open windows .
