I know how you feel. I've not long learned how to do all of that. People were being very helpful to me so I wanted to do the same for you. However, I am not great on the computer either, so I apologise if I get it wrong ( I'm sure you'll get more replies with the correct info.!!)
1: Where you have your ticker displayed, there are some boxes below that with codes in, one with the heading bbCode and the other HTML (or something like that). Using your mouse, put the cursor at the start of all those codes in the box with the heading bbCode click and hold the click down. Drag it all the way to the end of the codes so the codes are all highlighted. (Apologise if you do know how to highlight).
2: Click on "Edit" at the top, left hand of the screen, and click on "cut". The codes will disapear.
3: Go back into The Dis forum, make sure you're logged on, and go to "User CP" which is at the top left of the Dis section, not the whole screen. Under "Control Panel is the section "Edit Signature"
4: Click in the main box, click back onto "Edit" and then click on Paste. All the codes will appear in that box.
5: Click on Preview signature to view your ticker as it will appear in your posts then click on save.
6: I think when you write a post, there is a section which has to be clicked to ensure your signature is always used. It is below the post box in "Additional Options". Not sure about that, mine just automatically was so I assume yours will be aswell.
Hope this makes sense. There is a sticky which is all about helping with these questions but it is a bit confusing and too jargony for me
